When you sign up for a Your Sports BFF account, we collect:
- Your name (first and last)
- Your email address
- Your mobile phone number (used to deliver the BFF Brief and other SMS communications)
- Your content preferences (sports and cities you have selected)
- Payment information, if you subscribe to a paid plan (processed by our third-party payment provider, Stripe — we do not store your full card number)
- Basic usage data such as when you open or interact with our texts and site
How we use your information
- To deliver the BFF Brief and other SMS content you have subscribed to
- To personalize the content we send based on your sports and city preferences
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To respond to your questions or support requests
- To send you important account-related notices (billing, changes to service, etc.)
- To improve our products and understand how our service is being used
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers we use to operate the business (for example: Stripe for payments, Twilio or similar for SMS delivery, MemberStack for account management, Airtable for data storage, and email providers)
- Authorities if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
Your choices
- You can stop receiving texts at any time by replying STOP to any message from us
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us at hello@yoursportsbff.com
- You can cancel your paid subscription from your dashboard at any time
Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. After cancellation, we may retain certain information for as long as reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Children
Your Sports BFF is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please email hello@yoursportsbff.com and we will delete it.
California residents
California residents have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
